The Gold of Liébana

Orujo is not just a drink, it is the distilled essence of our land.

The Copper Alembic

Unlike other spirits that use industrial stills, in Liébana the copper alembic (alquitara) is used. Its design allows for a slower distillation at a lower temperature, better preserving the aromas of the grape.

Varieties

  • White Orujo: The purest, transparent with a strong grape aroma.
  • Tea Liqueur: Macerated with the local "rock tea" plant (Jasonia glutinosa).
  • Honey Liqueur: Softened with local honey.
  • Orujo Cream: Sweet and milky, very popular.
